Pandolce Basso is one of the classics of the Genoese confectionery tradition. Originally considered a poor man’s sweet due to its simplicity, but made with extremely high quality natural ingredients, it was used as a trade commodity by Genoese sailors with the populations of eastern countries, then part of the Maritime Republics. Pandolce Basso also comes in an even more delicious version with chocolate and hazelnuts.
